Our Skin Med Babes LOVE a good medical-grade chemical peel.
The VI Peel is a staff favorite and an effective way to improve your skin health–specifically used to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. The peel contains a blend of salicylic acid, TCA (trichloroacetic acid), retinoic acid, phenol, and vitamins that work to stimulate cell turnover and collagen production. The active solution is applied to the skin causing exfoliation to the outermost layers of the skin.
The peeling can last up to a week or more. During this process, it is important to avoid sun exposure–making this treatment our go-to during the winter months. Be prepared for the down time, but what is one week of healing compared to a life-time of healthy skin?
Our Medical Aestheticians will provide comprehensive and educational at home instructions to allow for optimal results.

The VI Peel is the first peel to combine the strongest and most effective ingredients for optimal results for ALL skin types.
The VI Peel is a blend of salicylic acid, TCA, and phenol.
It’s important to avoid active ingredients like retinol, retin-A, and tretinoin 3-5 days prior to treatment as well as sun exposure. Discontinuation of accutane for at least 6 months.
Three peels are recommended for optimal results and must be spaced at least four weeks apart.
A VI Peel appointment takes about 30 minutes and you will leave with an orange colored solution on your face. This will stay on the skin for 4-6 hours.
The VI Peel treats acne, post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, melasma, scarring, dullness, fine lines/wrinkles, and texture.
The VI Peel contains a numbing agent in the solution that makes the VI Peel one of the most comfortable chemical peels on the market.
Sun exposure, sweating, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, hot tubs, active ingredients, and picking/pulling/itching at the skin. Stay hydrated and don’t forget your sunscreen!
The VI Peel typically takes about 7 days (one week) of recovery. The skin will be red for the first couple days and the peeling process usually occurs during day 3-7.

Microneedling is an electronic device used to puncture tiny holes in the skin. Creating micro injuries to the skin signals the body's natural healing process by sending healing agents to the surface like elastin and collagen.
Microneedling is good for all skin types and skin tones. It is especially effective for scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, texture, pigment, uneven skin tone, and overall skin health.
First our Licensed Medical Aesthetician numbs the area(s) that will be treated with a topical numbing agent for 20-25 minutes. After numbing, we will cleanse and apply alcohol to degrease the skin and remove any excess product or cleanser. Then we needle the skin until the desired skin reaction, this usually takes 20-30 minutes.
Some light tenderness can be felt in specific areas but overall the treatment is comfortable and very tolerable due to the numbing agent applied prior to the treatment.
Immediately post-treatment, there will be redness and some pinpoint bleeding. Redness will slowly dissipate over the course of 3-5 days. Dryness and flaking may occur post redness. Gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and sunscreen are all to be worn for at least a week.
Avoid sun exposure, sweating, physical activities, and active ingredients. Physical activities include hiking, skiing/snowboarding, hot tubs, active workouts, and cardio. Active ingredients include retinol, retin-A, tretinoin, chemical, and physical exfoliators and should be avoided for at least a week. Do not use any topical or oral prescription medication for at least 2 weeks unless cleared by a doctor. No accutane for at least 6 months prior to treatment. No waxing for at least one week. Stay hydrated and don’t forget your sunscreen!
Discontinue the use of active ingredients like retinol, retin-A, or tretinoin. Do not use any topical or oral prescription medication for at least 2 weeks prior to appointment unless instructed otherwise by a doctor.
3-5 days post treatment you will notice a visible glow and an overall healthier complexion. The skin takes around 4-6 weeks to heal internally so results will continue to show over the course of a month. Scarring can take up to 3 treatments to see visible results depending on the severity of the scars.
A series of three treatments is recommended for optimal results at least 4 weeks apart.
